This Privacy Policy explains how Lunar Studios ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit tidewake.com (the "Site") or interact with the Tidewake leaderboard. We are committed to handling your data transparently and responsibly.
1. Information We Collect
Information you do not provide directly
When you visit the Site, your browser makes network requests that may transmit your IP address and browser metadata to third-party servers (see Section 3). We do not collect or store this data ourselves.
Demo Leaderboard Data
The Site displays a live leaderboard from Tidewake public demo events. This leaderboard shows:
- The username entered by the player at the demo kiosk
- The score achieved during that session
Leaderboard entries are submitted in-game at physical demo events. If you participated and wish to have your entry removed, please contact us at the address in Section 8.
2. How We Use Information
We use information solely to operate and improve the Site:
- To display the expo leaderboard
- To serve the correct web fonts and icons so the Site displays correctly
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.
3. Third-Party Services
The Site loads resources from the following third parties. When your browser requests these resources, the third-party server may receive your IP address, browser user agent, and the referring page URL.
Google Fonts
We load web fonts (Cinzel, Spectral) from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, operated by Google LLC. Google may log the request as part of its normal operations. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google Fonts Privacy FAQ.
Font Awesome (Cloudflare CDN)
We load icons from cdnjs.cloudflare.com, operated by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare may log the request. For details, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Steam (Valve Corporation)
The Site contains links to Tidewake's Steam page (store.steampowered.com). Clicking these links takes you to Valve's platform, governed by Valve's Privacy Policy.
Discord
The Site contains a link to our Discord server. Clicking this link takes you to Discord's platform, governed by Discord's Privacy Policy.
Leaderboard API
The Site fetches leaderboard data from leaderboard.tidewake.com, which is operated by Lunar Studios. This is a read-only request; no personal data is sent from your browser to this endpoint. Scores displayed are collected at public demo events.
4. Cookies
The Site itself does not set any first-party cookies. Third-party resources loaded from Google and Cloudflare may set their own cookies or use browser caching according to their own policies. Because the Site does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers, no cookie consent banner is displayed. If this changes in future, we will update this policy and add an appropriate notice.
5. Children's Privacy
Tidewake is a video game intended for players aged 13 and older. The Site does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). If you believe a child has submitted personal data through the expo leaderboard, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
6. Your Rights
EU / EEA / UK Residents (GDPR & UK GDPR)
If you are located in the EU, EEA, or UK, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or erasure of your data
- Object to or restrict processing
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

7. Data Retention & Security
Demo leaderboard entries are retained while the leaderboard is active and may be removed at our discretion. We implement reasonable technical measures to protect data stored on our servers, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
